We for Weddings Means...

Well WE for weddings is meant to remind couples that the purpose of marriage is to unite two wonderful people. It takes two to make a great marriage, and people sometimes forget that in the planning process. As a professional and cerfitied planner I would love to see more grooms get involved but there is a downfall to that. What could that be? When they do get involved, ladies we have all been guilty of this, because they're guys and see things from a guys perspective we tend to shoot down their ideas regarding the wedding. Remember that they too play a very important part in this day and they should play an important part in the planning. Do whatever you can to get them involved even if it's just for a tasting. They feel closer to you and in turn you feel they made a real contribution and weren't one of those "whatever you want" guys. Guys secretly love weddings but they will never ever show it. They are in love with you and excited about this day, just like you, but they show it in totally different ways. Don't shut them down, accept their input and try to use it somewhere. Think of this as your first true test in marriage because the compromising game that you play during planning is the same game you play in 5, 10, 15 years of marriage. Trust me on this one... I know from experience!
